Like Pendulum, my life is oscillating between two different cultures; France and India. It’s very hard to imagine my life in just one country or continent. I was born and raised in a town near Agra, India and have been living in France since 2013. My desire to learn about French art and culture brought me to Grenoble, France for my Master’s from Grenoble Ecole de Management.
It feels strange: while learning French culture and language, I am getting close to my Indian roots. Early days in France were harsh as I don’t speak French. However, I was not new to being surrounded by non-English speakers. In India, people speak different languages (22 official languages). After several years of practising French, je me debrouille en Français (I can manage in French language). Still a lot to learn in the French language. As we say in French “petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid”
